Solar Cell Characteristic Apparatus
Training board consist of two units namely control unit and LED/Solar cell unit. It is used to draw the characteristic of solar cell by making the light fall on solar cell from different distances, also by varying the area on which the light is falling on solar cell. Also provided with a variable load of 1100 ohms.
Control unit:
Control unit consist of a variable power supply for LED to vary its intensity, two digital panel meters of 2V and 2 mA. Input for solar cell and variable load of 0 – 1100 ohms. Cabinet is duo combo of metal and plastic and it is powered by three core lead to provide foolproof earthing to metal parts. Kit includes patch cords and a working manual.

LED/Solar Cell Unit:
This unit consists of an aluminum rail with 50 cm scale printed on it. Two plastic riders are placed on this rail and can be moved and locked at any position on the rail. Riders have the provision to hold solar cell and LED light source. LED source is connected to the power supply on control unit and the output of solar cell is also connected at the input on control unit. LED light source is fitted with a diaphragm to vary the illuminated are on solar cell.
