Multifunction Stopwatch

Stopwatch or stop clock is the instrument which gives the measure of time. “Electromotive Engineers” has designed a stopwatch which measures the time in seconds. It has user friendly controls to make it start/ stop, reset and mode. Seven segment LED display provides good readability from a distance. It has four modes namely Stopwatch, Clock, count and timer.
In stopwatch mode the clock counts the time from 0.000 se to 9999 sec. As it has auto resolution the decimal shifts itself with overflow of the range. That is after 9.999sec the display changes to 10.00, similarly after 99.99 the display changes to 100.0 and after 999.9 it changes to 1000 and lastly counts up to 9999 sec.
In clock mode the time is counted in real time format that is – hrs: min: sec and thus the time can be compared with real time clock.
In count mode it acts as a counter and at every press of a start/stop switch the count increments by 1. Max. count can be 999999 and can be made to 0 with single press of a reset switch.
In timer mode the stopwatch toggles to a timer. It is a programmable timer and can be programmed by user in hrs: min: sec mode. And when made to start it count down the time like a countdown timer until it reaches – 0 hrs: 0 min: 0 sec.
